![]() ![]() There are a few things we are going to do in this article to get you up and running with debugging Enterprise Java with TomEE and IntelliJ. ![]() If you are new to IntelliJ or TomEE you’ll find the steps outlined here very easy to follow. If you are already familiar with IntelliJ but have not debugged a TomEE application, then this will be a quick but useful tutorial. I’ve always found debugging Enterprise Java applications to be a challenge, but modern features of the Java Virtual Machine and tools like IntelliJ make it easy. This time we’ll do the same thing but with IntelliJ! The stable channel includes only stable versions.In our last post we provided a step-by-step tutorial that explained how to debug Enterprise Java applications on TomEE from the Eclipse IDE. PhpStorm is distributed via two channels: On Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and later, this service is pre-installed. To use snaps, install and run the snapd service as described in the installation guide. Since snaps update automatically, your PhpStorm installation will always be up-to-date. You can install PhpStorm as a self-contained snap package. However, it will still create a shortcut in the Start menu under JetBrains. Without the silent configuration file, the installer will ignore all additional options: it will not create desktop shortcuts, add associations, or update the PATH variable. In this case, omit the /CONFIG switch and run the installer as an administrator. It is possible to perform silent installation without the configuration file. You can modify it to enable or disable various installation options as necessary. The default silent configuration file is unique for each JetBrains product. If you want to install PhpStorm for all users, change the value of the installation mode option to mode=admin and run the installer as an administrator. With the default options, silent installation is performed only for the current user: mode=user. The silent configuration file defines the options for installing PhpStorm. You can download the default silent configuration file for PhpStorm at PhpStorm-*.exe /S /CONFIG=d:\temp\nfig /LOG=d:\JetBrains\PhpStorm\install.log /D=d:\IDE\PhpStorm Silent configuration file This parameter must be the last in the command line, and it should not contain any quotes even if the path contains blank spaces.
